Kayla Engel, LPC, NCC, MS
Kayla is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado. She received her master's degree in professional counseling from Carlow University in 2008. Kayla completed her internship through the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic where she was trained in Exposure and Response Prevention and Cognitive Behavior Therapy in the Adult OCD Intensive Outpatient Program. Following graduation, she was welcomed as a Psychiatric Specialty Counselor within Western Psychiatric's Pediatric OCD Intensive Outpatient Program. As a military spouse, Kayla moved to Colorado Springs. She continued her career working as a clinician and then Clinical Supervisor at a local community mental health agency. Kayla founded a local group psychotherapy practice as well. She is a professional member the International OCD Foundation and is excited to have the opportunity to work individuals in the Colorado Springs area. Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She loves art and finds creating a therapeutic outlet. Kayla is also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and bleeds black and gold. Kristin Tanner, MA, LPCC Kristin provides psychotherapy for a variety of mental health concerns, while specializing in anxiety, OCD, and trauma related disorders. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Her experience includes counseling adults in a community mental health setting, in addition to providing behavioral health services in a primary care setting. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys traveling, painting, writing, and exploring nature with her family. |
